The Minister of Economy and Labour, The Hon. Jason Hayward, JP, MP, attended the 2026 Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) Business Awards on Saturday, where he recognised the contributions of Bermuda’s entrepreneurs and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to fostering a strong entrepreneurial environment.
Minister Hayward said, “Entrepreneurs play an essential role in Bermuda’s economic growth. Their ideas, innovation and determination strengthen our economy and contribute to greater economic resilience. The Government’s work to advance small and medium sized business development, including the forthcoming national entrepreneurship strategy, is designed to ensure that entrepreneurs have access to the tools and opportunities needed to build and scale their businesses.”
