The Ministry of Education recently hosted the 2025 Scholarships and Awards Reception, honouring Bermudian students representing a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and academic disciplines. Each recipient has demonstrated a strong commitment to furthering their education and contributing to Bermuda’s future.
The Ministry will help more than 60 individuals to attend college and university through the various scholarships and awards that were offered. This year, the Ministry of Education is providing 10 different scholarships and award categories.
In her remarks, Minister of Education, the Hon. Crystal Caesar, JP, congratulated the awardees and reaffirmed the Government’s ongoing investment in educational advancement.
“I’m proud to share that this year, the Ministry of Education has committed a budget of $1.77 million toward scholarships and awards, a solid investment in the future of our island,” said Minister Caesar.
“Through our scholarships and awards, we continue to uplift individuals who embody excellence and promise. These recipients aren’t just learners, they’re future leaders, educators, changemakers, and nation builders.”
The reception also recognised the invaluable contributions of the Scholarship Committees and Ms. Shanaye Smith, Scholarship & Awards Programme Manager, for their dedication to supporting Bermuda’s students throughout the application and selection process.
