Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport Congratulates Bermuda U-17 Women’s Team on Historic Qualification
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport extends congratulations to the Bermuda Under-17 Women’s National Team on their remarkable achievement in securing qualification for the final round of the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship.
This accomplishment is not only a testament to the dedication, talent, and resilience of Bermuda’s young footballers, who continue to showcase their skill and determination on the international stage, but it's tangible proof of what can be achieved when public sector resources are provided to Bermuda's young people.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, Sen. the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, who attended the L.F. Wade International Airport upon the team's arrival home this weekend said: "The outstanding performance of our U-17 Women’s National Team is a proud moment for Bermuda. Their hard work, discipline, and passion have propelled them to this significant milestone, and we stand behind them as they prepare for the final round of competition. On behalf of the Government and people of Bermuda, I commend the players, coaches, and support staff for their dedication to the sport and for representing our country with such excellence. We look forward to cheering them on as they continue their journey."
