Middle School Students Explore Future Pathways Through Senior Signature School Taster Programme
Students recently took part in one of the Signature Taster Programmes by attending open houses at the island’s three Senior Signature Schools — The Berkeley Institute, CedarBridge Academy, and Sandys Secondary Signature School — to gain an in-depth look at each school’s unique offerings.
Current Year 8 and M2 students are continuing their journey toward selecting a Senior Signature School for September 2026. Each of the three schools showcased its distinctive Signature Learning Programmes, giving students a preview of the dynamic learning experiences that await them as they transition to senior school. Participants in the Taster Programme engaged in Immersion Activities, which included visiting all three Senior Signature Schools for open house events.
The Minister of Education, Senator, the Hon. Crystal Caesar, JP, attended the events and expressed her delight at the quality of the presentations and the level of engagement between senior and middle school students.
“All three Senior Signature Schools embraced the opportunity to engage with the middle school students,” said Minister Caesar. “Every section and course was on display, and students could readily ask questions of the senior students and teachers. Congratulations to The Berkeley Institute, CedarBridge Academy, and our newest senior school, Sandys Secondary Signature School for organising very impactful and informative open houses.”
The Signature Taster Programme plays an essential role in helping students make informed choices about their academic and career pathways, to assist each young person in finding the right fit for their skills, interests, and aspirations.
