The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is reminding residents of the adjusted household waste collection schedule in observance of the New Year’s Day public holiday on Thursday, 1 January 2026.

As previously advised, household waste collections for New Year’s Day will take place as follows:

New Year’s Day Collection Schedule:

• Household waste normally collected on Thursday, 1 January, will be collected on Friday, 2 January.
• Household waste normally collected on Friday, 2 January, will be collected on Saturday, 3 January.

Members of the public are reminded to place waste at the curbside by 6:00 a.m. on the revised collection days to ensure timely service.

The Ministry thanks residents for their cooperation and encourages the public to plan accordingly to avoid missed collections.
